Building Sights is an initiative set up by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and Arts Council England, to encourage all those involved with the construction of a new building - from client to building contractor, to see the process as an opportunity rather than an inconvenience. The construction site has the potential to be a fantastic resource for understanding how buildings are made and how architects design and use materials for particular building types. Getting your stakeholders involved in a new project from the moment it goes on site is a great way to build a sense of ownership and enthusiasm for any project. In an arts environment, it's a great way to build new audiences too.
